What's My Body Shapeshape wizard

Body Shape Calculator

Body Shape Calculator

A guided body shape wizard: a few measurement questions, then your shape -- hourglass, pear, rectangle, inverted triangle, apple -- with the exact ratios.

Most body shape quizzes ask a handful of vague questions and guess. This one asks for real bust or chest, waist, and hip measurements, one at a time, and runs them through the same published proportional rules a personal stylist would use -- shown with the exact percentages that produced your result, not a black box.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a shape here -- is this a medical classification?

No. Hourglass, pear, inverted triangle, rectangle, and apple are the common fashion and fitness-industry shape names, not a medical or anthropometric standard. Different style guides use slightly different percentage cutoffs for the same names; this site's cutoffs are stated on every result and shape page.

Why does the wizard ask for shoulders and high hip if they're optional?

Bust and hips alone can miss two real patterns: a broad-shouldered upper body that reads narrower at the bust, and a 'shelf' at the top of the hips (the spoon variant). Both optional fields sharpen the read; skipping them still gives a full result.

Does my data get saved anywhere?

No. Every calculation runs in your browser from the numbers you type in. Nothing is transmitted to a server, stored, or associated with you -- close the tab and it's gone.

My result feels off. What should I check first?

Measurement technique is the most common cause: a waist measured too high, or a bust/hip tape that's angled instead of level, shifts the ratios enough to flip the result. See the measurement guide for exactly where the tape should sit on each measurement.
